Hi there,

 My name is Jay Young, President/Owner and chief photographer here at Classic Photography.  I photographed my first wedding professionally back in 1978!  I remember it distinctly (I was a nervous wreck), and I still have fun looking at those old photos.  A lot has changed since then in the world of wedding photography, but some things are still the same.  Next to having a child, your wedding day is the most memorable, important, and happiest day of your life.  The pictures you have taken that day are going to be the main tangible reminder of that day, passed down from generation to generation!

Style

There's been a lot written about "Photo-Journalistic" wedding coverage - and, you know what?  I'm all for it!  My favorite photos are ones that capture that unguarded, unself-conscious moment.  I love these pictures as they are truly genuine.  That is why I bring professional digital/35mm equipment to all my weddings.  This combination of speed, automation, and zoom lenses enables truly fantastic candid coverage of your wedding day.

 I think the best coverage is a combination of formal poses and candid coverage.  When we meet, you can let me know your preference so I'll know if I need to emphasize one style over the other.

Digital

I use professional digital equipment to capture your wedding day.  The immediacy of this new medium is incredible.  I can have highlights of your wedding posted to the Internet as early as that evening or the following day.  The complete wedding takes a little time to organize and post on the internet but it is usually within the week.
